The Swing Of Things

Yesterday was my first day of getting into the "swing of things." I think I only called Tony twice to tell him how hard it is having two kids...and probably only one of those times I was using my "inside voice." After a whirlwind of visits from family and a trip to the cabin for my 30th birthday, Cienna, AJ and I spent our first day together at the house. All I can say is thank GOD I am leaving for CA on Monday. I can tell it is going to take me some serious time to get into a routine!
On our first day together I learned that AJ really does prefer to be held 24/7. He does not enjoy the car seat. And because mom pays attention to AJ when he cries, Cienna has decided to cry whenever she needs something. Crying "in stereo" is the new background music for my life. We did get out of the house though...first a walk to the library for story time, then to the bank to open AJ's savings account and to Lily Barrack to pick up my necklace that Tony got me when AJ was born.

My "Push Present"

I spent the rest of the day fulfilling Cienna's many requests, carrying AJ around so that he wouldn't cry and catching up on housework that needed to get done since we returned from Colorado. Speaking of CO, it was a blast. For the first 3 days my in-laws visited and insisted that I just relax....

AJ had his second bath, which he absolutely loved!

And we basically just hung out as a family and watched old 80's movies on Bata.

After the in-laws left and headed back to CA, my BFF Jen and her boyfriend Justin drove down from Denver to celebrate my "dirty 30." From what I can remember we had a very good time!

Thank God There Is No Such Thing As A "SWI" (Swinging While Intoxicated)

The rest of the visit was spent taking in the beautiful scenery that Colorado has to offer in the fall. It is my favorite time of year. Here are a few reasons why:
