Diesel Turns Dos!
Our fur baby Diesel is now 2 years old (or 8 in dog years?) and while he has stopped doing a lot of those destructive and expensive puppy things he has not stopped growing. Just when we thought he had topped off at a svelte 141 lbs he decided that he was not quite done and at last check is now tipping the scales at 148.
Since Christmas is right around the corner I thought it might be helpful to put together a sort of "naughty / nice" list for Doganta. That way he will know whether Diesel has been a good boy or a bad boy this last year. OK...here it goes!
Diesel Is No Longer:
Ripping apart all of my outdoor cushions
Pulling electrical cords out of the back of appliances
Stealing stuffed animals and American Girl dolls out of the kid's rooms and then destroying them in private
Eating my shoes
Eating AJ's flip flops
Getting his ass kicked at the dog park by teacup Chihuahuas
Jumping out the window of moving vehicles
Diesel Is Still:
GETTING ON EVERY COUCH IN MY HOUSE NO MATTER HOW MUCH I YELL AND SCREAM AND CHASE HIM AROUND THROWING THINGS AT HIM
You see, Diesel has adapted almost too well to our household. Like my children, he thinks that when I say something it is "optional" whether to listen or not. I think he gets a kick out of seeing my head almost spin off my shoulders as I am yelling for him to GET OFF MY COUCH! He waits until I am just close enough and then he runs for his life. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
You are a pain in my ass Diesel, but much like my husband and children, I love you deeply despite of it. You are a perfect fit for us. Happy Birthday!
